Abdulrasheed Bawa, the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), was hurried out of the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Thursday after slumping during a presentation.
Bawa abruptly stopped speaking during his goodwill message at the National Identity Day ceremony.
When the incident occurred, he was speaking about a man the commission detained in Ibadan, Oyo state, with 116 SIM cards.
“Please, excuse me, I can’t continue,” Bawa said as he paused and covered his face with his right palm.
Dr. Isa Ali Pantami, Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, and other top officials at the occasion helped him to his seat, but the anti-graft czar slumped.

The Master of Ceremony (MC) later announced that the Bawa’s condition was stable.“I am happy to announce to you that the EFCC Chairman is now stable,” he said.
But the chairman and those who rushed him out are yet to return to the hall as at time of filing this report.
