Job Description:

Summary of Key Functions / Accountabilities
- Responsible for the proper upkeep, maintenance and/or replacement of office premises, office furniture and equipment to ensure that they are in appropriate and good working conditions for all staff and in line with budgetary limitations. Prepare all corporate and individual SSAs for these services including SSAs for programme activities. Ensure that there is always an adequate supply of non-expendable property and maintain accurate control of the inventory and participate in their physical verification.
- Provide operational and administrative support activities for the organization of internal management and operational meetings such Operations Meetings, CRC Meetings, annual reviews, work planning meetings, workshops, Heads of Unites meetings and operations section meetings as well as recording of minutes and/or notes at such meetings.
- Arrange for airport pickups, hotels and all other matters relating to the reception of staff and visitors. Assist in giving logistical support for meetings, workshops and training courses. Arrange for the issuance of travel requests and authorisations to staff and government counterparts, provide tickets, DSA in accordance with rules and maintain the necessary records.
- Assist in providing briefing, advice and information to all categories of staff covering HR, Supply, Administrative and HR rules, procedures and policies, including drafting replies to queries from the Abuja Office and staff. Prepare on own initiative, correspondence, reports, briefing, etc. on HR and other operations matters, some of a confidential nature.
- Supervise the work of the Drivers, and Operations Assistant who are staff members in addition co-ordinate the work of Cleaners through corporate SSAs.
- Assist to ensure an effective communication system (telephone, telex, fax, radio etc) in the office, ensure that all related bills are paid promptly and charges for private calls are collected from staff.
- On a periodic basis, review the personnel filing system and recommend appropriate adjustments and improvement to ensure easy retrieval and optimal benefit from the system. Maintain and update operational, policy, management and confidential files and records;, search, collate and, prepare abstracts of information which may be required from time to time and prepare background material for operational and management meetings as well as maintaining policy, confidential and general management files.
- Make travel arrangements for the supervisor and other Unit staff and perform liaison duties with other sections/units. This entails following up on TAs, making the bookings, arranging for the visas, airport transfers, accommodation, etc, Prepare briefing materials for the supervisor for use on official trips on special meetings/workshops.
- Organize supervisor’s appointments maintain supervisor’s calendar, schedule appointments and meetings, screen and visitors, place and screens calls and respond to queries with discretion. Administer travel arrangements of supervisor, initiate travel processes, follow up and conclude all related travel processes and documents.
- Prepares, on own initiative, correspondence, reports, evaluations and justifications, as required, on general operational and administrative issue and specialized tasks which may be of a confidential nature within the assigned area of responsibility and ensures follow-up action.
- Liaise with the country office and support requests relating to HR Admin. Supply and Finance activities as may be requested.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- First University Degree or its equivalent in any course under Management Science or Social Sciences.
Experience:
- Minimum of six (6) years experience including progressively responsible work in office administration and human resources.
Language Requirements:
- Fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of one other UN working language and working language of the duty station, an asset.

Job Description:
- Under the guidance of the Health Manager / immunization, provide technical support to the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) to ensure cost-effective and efficient execution of immunization supply chain strengthening priorities within the background of the 10-year National Strategy for Primary Health Care and Immunization Strengthening Strategy (NSIPSS). The position is to support the expansion of the cold storage space including equipping of the three hubs national storage system (Abuja, Kano and Lagos) and reaching all wards with solar driven equipment using the CCEOP window.
Main Responsibilities and Tasks
The health Specialist, Cold Chain, will carry out the following activities related to Operationalization and execution of the Cold Chain Equipment Optimization Platform (CCEOP) portfolio in Nigeria:
- Serve as a member of CCEOP Project Management Team (CCEOP PMT) working in collaboration with other members of the National Logistics Working Group (NLWG)
- Support the running of the CCEOP PMT Operations Room and implementation of Nigeria-specific terms of reference of the CCEOP PMT
- Facilitate the conduct of CCEOP PMT meetings, supporting the PMT secretariate as well as tracking the implementation of action points of the CCEOP PMT meetings.
- Work with the NLWG to develop CCEOP PMT project implementation work plan, which will address execution of the brief from receipt of the Gavi Decision Letter to CCE deployment and monitoring of project milestones.
- Support the conduct pre-installation site assessments and revalidation of the CCEOP Operational Deployment Plan (ODP) to minimize risks of deviation.
- Actively monitor and evaluate deployment of CCE and other bundled services with other members of the CCEOP PMT ensuring adherence with the ODP and Deviation Protocol
- Regularly liaise with the state PMTs to ensure their functionality, provide guidance and support tracking of CCEs deployment.
- Support the functionality of established state maintenance units, facilitating the implementation of their workplans and established floating assembly.
- Facilitate the quarterly update of nationwide cold chain inventory and gap analysis and provide feedback to NLWG
- In collaboration with the Health Specialist, Immunization supply chain and logistics and/or Supply Specialists provide high quality on-site information to UNICEF Supply Division required for informed decision-making.
- Where necessary, and in collaboration with CCEOP PMT and UNICEF Supply Specialists, engage CCE manufacturer’s in-country representatives to course correct any deviations from the Operational Deployment Plan and/or incidences that might arise.
- Work jointly with NLWG and the states to set a system to periodically re-validate the sites in the O.D.P.
- Provide weekly update on status of CCEOP project implementation to National Logistics Working Group

Job Description:
- Under the overall supervision of Chief of Nutrition, the IM Data, Analytics and Evidence Officer as an expert will collaborate with the government to strengthen Nutrition Information System, manage overall nutrition data/ information and provide support to the field teams and state partners for monitoring, evaluation, and supportive supervision, to ensure effectiveness and efficiency in nutrition programme. The officer will be required to generate appropriate analytics to strengthen policies, guidelines/ protocol and programmes for use within UNICEF, the UN, Implementing and Development Partners.
- The incumbent will be responsible to support designing of quality nutrition data collection methodologies, surveys, polling, KAPs, Peer Data Quality Reviews, including both qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
- S/he will initiate, update and or maintain nutrition section databases, while using a range of data platforms such as ODK platform, RapidPro, other monitoring tools and smart phone inventory for programme monitoring and supportive supervision. Further, the incumbent will be responsible for knowledge generation and development of the program appropriate products”.
Key responsibilities
Data Systems Strengthening & Information Management:
- Provide leadership on strengthening nutrition data systems (routine, surveys and surveillance) at national and sub-national levels, including enabling interoperability and digitization of data platforms
- Strengthen existing in-country data approaches and platforms for collecting, analyzing and reporting high quality nutrition data at national and sub-national levels, particularly coverage data.
- Maintain information databases and general project tools and consolidate, analyse and report/disseminate data collected throughout various assessments
- Manage relevant Nutrition data sets, including humanitarian and development data sets. Coordinate and harmonize data with relevant cluster stakeholders.
- Work with field offices to have a well-prioritized plan of information management activities
- Co-ordinate with other sections and M4R to ensure data coherence across sections
- Provide support in planning and executing data collection activities, including reviewing documents, preparing survey protocols and adopting standardized approaches and tools for nutrition/Cash Based Transfer (CBT) programming
- Provide analytics, assess trends and measure outcomes relating to achievement of project targets to support evidence-based programming.
- As and when needed, coordinate and plan for meetings, develop agendas, document minutes and share action points with all relevant persons.
- Support other IMOs in the section to compile, clean and analyse nutrition/CBT data including Community Based Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM), Vitamin A supplementation, Maternal, Infant and Young Child Feeding Nutrition, Micronutrients etc.
Project Performance Monitoring, Reporting & Evidence Generation:
- Support complete, quality and timely reporting based on agreed monitoring frameworks.
- Generate high quality reports and knowledge products including presentations, publications, newsletters, etc.
- Support the preparation of quarterly, annual and adhoc reports and newsletters and share findings with stakeholders for informed decision making

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Development Planning, Nutrition, Public Health, Epidemiology.
- Additional technical qualifications (supported with certificates) in geographic information system, information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Survey, data management or related field is required.
Experience:
- More than five years of relevant professional work experience including field work. Experience in nutrition data management, monitoring and evaluation. Proven statistical, analytic and technical skills including designing and administrating databases, database management and data analysis using statistical packages (SPSS, STATA, etc.), high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), ability to maintain basic websites, ability to produce data summaries and visualizations, GIS knowledge an advantage.
Language Requirements:
