SpotemGottem, a Florida-based American rapper, has been admitted to a hospital following a drive-by shooting on Friday, September 17.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that the shooting happened around 3 a.m. local time on Friday, September 17. Another automobile drew up beside his and shot at least 22 times on the driver’s side, according to reports.
The driver told cops that he was driving southbound on I-95 when gunshots started ringing out from another car. The driver was shot in his hip, while Spotemgottem suffered gunshot wounds to both legs. They were both taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
Manager of the 19-year-old rapper, Dee Phatboy also confirmed the shooting. Phatboy said Spotem who was being driven from a Miami recording studio at the time of the incident, is expected to make a full recovery.
Best known for his booming track “Beat Box,” which was followed by a series of remixes including one from DaBaby, the rapper was thrust into the spotlight earlier this year thanks to a TikTok trend. The “Junebug Challenge” was one of the many dance crazes to sweep the social video app, with people performing the titular dance to “Beat Box.” Everyone from Lil Baby to Kevin Hart got involved.
